why THis BOOK?
English:
There are many children's books that take place in a forest, but often it is only the environment and not the subject of the story. What is missing is a book that makes the reader understand that humans are part of nature and that everything, plants, animals and the elements, work together. Stella meets animals and plants that tell her something that ultimately gives her inspiration to try to prevent her beloved forest from being cut down. The spider teaches her about fear and flexibility, the butterfly about change and dreams, and the ant gives room for anger and teaches her something about strategy. Birky the tree and Violet the flower explain to her the consequences of cutting down the forest. And together with Officer Ant, she gets angry and determined to talk to her fellow humans about their plans. Then Stella flies home on the back of a bird and sees everything from a higher perspective and also learns about global warming. She ties a feather of the bird in her dream catcher. The story of Stella comes to an end here, but every child reading the book will wonder: what and how can Stella do for the forest? And with that: what can I do about deforestation?
